How to express DG = DH – TDS in words?
All of the original energy that was obtained from the reaction (DG) can be harness to do work (DH) if there was perfect energy harnessing system. However, since these systems don’t exist, some of the energy is used to do work and the remainder is dispersed, leading to an increase in DS.
If no system exists to harness the energy, then the entire DG is dispersed as an increased in entropy.
